Language, Literacy & Numeracy

Our enrolment process includes a pre-training review which provides the opportunity for staff to discuss educational background, current skills and knowledge, career inspiration, personal goals, work experiences, expectations, program outcomes and pathways with prospective students.

Mayfield Education understands that each individual student has their own learning style and acknowledges that some students may require additional support. There will be an assessment of each student’s language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) and questioning on student learning styles specific to vocational courses. This LLN process identifies individual learning needs, and requirements needed to support the learning needs of students.

Additional support will be provided to any student experiencing learning challenges. Mayfield Education has a reasonable adjustment policy and procedure for the Trainer and Assessor to refer to when this process discovers a student with learning challenges or with disabilities.
