Information sessions have to be attended by all applicants of accredited vocational education and training [VET] courses. If you are completing a short course or a university level course with us, you do not need to attend a session.

When we receive your expression of interest or online application form, you will be contacted by a student services officer to arrange a suitable date and time to attend the pre course information session. This is compulsory especially if you are seeking Government funding.

We encourage you to view the course information video on our website before this. This video is located on the course page.

The information session runs for around 90 minutes and consists of:

  • Undertaking an English Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment on a PC to determine that you have the skills and capacity to study at the chosen level (around 1 hour)
  • A 1:1 review of your application with one of our co-ordinators where you can undertake questions (around 20 minutes)

These sessions are usually undertaken in person at our Hawthorn East campus. Currently, with COVID restrictions; these sessions are completed with you remotely and online.
