Pre-Training Information Sessions

Every MEI-accredited course webpage includes a recorded information session you can watch anytime, covering everything you need to know before you enrol. Wherever possible, we also offer live virtual or face-to-face information sessions.

Credit Transfer (CT)

If you’ve already completed the same (or equivalent) units in another course or at a different Registered Training Organisation (RTO), you won’t need to study them again; you can apply for a CT. This can save you time and reduce your study load.

Online Student Portal

At MEI, you’ll use aXcelerate Turbo, our eLearning platform (LMS), to access everything you need for your studies, including timetables, presentations, assignments, workbooks, and links to resources like the e-library throughout your learning journey.

Course Orientation

All MEI courses start with an orientation covering your timetable, placement requirements, policies, resources, and support services. You’ll meet your trainers and explore our learning platform so you can begin your studies confident and prepared..

Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital

As part of enrolment, we assess each student’s Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital skills to understand their learning needs. This ensures we can provide tailored support and resources to help every student succeed in their studies.

Educational Student Support

In-class support is provided first by your teacher, who accommodates individual learning needs and offers guidance throughout your studies. We also recommend a range of additional resources to enhance your learning experience.

Student Wellbeing & Support

Students, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who need welfare or guidance services can speak with their Course Coordinator to discuss needs. The Coordinator will provide advice and arrange referrals to suitable services.

Fee Statement

We provide a comprehensive Statement of Fees for all MEI courses, with flexible payment plans available to suit your needs. Contact us today for more information and personalised assistance.

Student Information Handbook

Our comprehensive Student Handbook gives you a clear understanding of your rights, responsibilities, and the support available to you. It also outlines key policies, procedures, and helpful tips to guide you through your MEI journey with confidence.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital (LLND)

Our enrolment process includes a pre-training review, which provides the opportunity for staff to discuss educational background, current skills and knowledge, career inspiration, personal goals, work experiences, expectations, program outcomes and pathways with prospective students.

MEI understands that each student has their own learning style and acknowledges that some students may require additional support. There will be an assessment of each student’s language, literacy, numeracy proficiency and digital literacy (LLND)  and questioning on student learning styles specific to vocational courses. This LLND process identifies individual learning needs and the requirements needed to support the learning needs of students. Additional support will be provided to any student experiencing learning challenges.
